With big wins last week, the 7-0 New Orleans Saints and the 6-1 Minnesota Vikings have put themselves at the top of the heap in the NFC. After last week, the New Orleans Saints put a bit more distance between themselves and the rest of the NFC with an impressive come from behind win in Miami. There were only two head to head match-ups of AFC teams this past week and neither game was close. The San Diego Chargers evened their record at 3-3 with a 37-7 romp over their AFC West division opponent, Kansas City. The Chiefs fell to 1-6 on the year and pretty much out of the picture. The big showdown in the NFC last week between the N.Y. Giants and Saints turned into an ambush as New Orleans scored five touchdowns in the first half on route to a 48 -27 drubbing in the Big Easy. While I still think the 5-0 Indianapolis Colts are the best team in the AFC, you cannot help but be impressed with the 5-0 Denver Broncos and the 4-1 Cincinnati Bengals. In week four of the NFL season, some statements were made in the AFC. Two teams, Baltimore and the N.Y. Jets fell from the ranks of the unbeaten.
