After a wild week of games in the AFC, only two teams have clinched a spot in the playoffs. Indianapolis at 14-0 locked up the AFC South and home field advantage throughout the playoffs two weeks ago and San Diego, by virtue of their 27-24 win over Cincinnati locked up the AFC West. Congratulations to Indianapolis for clinching the AFC South last week by beating Houston 35-24. With yet another come from behind win they have now run this season’s record to 11-0 and have won a record tying 20 consecutive regular season games. The one thing that has remained constant in the first 12 weeks in the AFC is that the Colts always find a way to win. This is especially true the past few weeks. The last time they blew a team out was back in week seven when they beat St. Louis 42-7. In a decision that will be debated as right or wrong for the rest on the season, New England head coach Bill Belichick’s failed gamble on 4th and 2 from his own 28 yard line with a little more than two minutes to play not only paved the way for the Colts to win the game and go to 9-0 on the year, it basically handed them home field advantage throughout the playoffs barring a late season meltdown. … [Read more...]
There was a balance of power in the totals betting for week six as seven games stayed under and seven games went over.
