The Jaguars had their chances along the way to win the AFC South, but is left needing a win and a Colts’ loss to actually do it. One glaring statistic about this team’s ability is, despite the fact they come into this game at 8-7, they have been outscored by 49 points this season.
This could very well be Gary Kubiak’s last game as the 5-10 Texans head coach after his team once again failed miserably to live up to all the preseason expectations. This year’s team actually took a fairly big step backwards after winning nine games last season.
Jacksonville is 2-6 ATS in its last eight games and 2-5 SU in its last seven games played in Houston. The Texans are 2-9 ATS in their last 11 games overall. The Jaguars won 31-24 at home the last they met and should be able to win by more than 2 ½ points on the road against a Texans’ team that has lost their last four games overall.
The odds makers have the Jacksonville Jaguars as a -2.5 point favorite with an over/under of 48.5.
