2009-2010 Weber State Season Preview
Weber State took care of business in the regular season last year, winning the outright title by four games with a sparkling 15-1 conference record. Then a funny thing happened on the way to the NCAA Tournament: The Wildcats didn’t make it, losing in the semifinals of the conference tournament. They did garner an NIT berth, however. This year, the Wildcats have a fine player to build around in sophomore guard Damian Lillard, who as a freshman made first team all-conference. There’s plenty of supporting help, led by forward kyle Bullinger. Add another good recruiting class compiled by coach Randy Rahe and expect Weber State to contend for the top spot in the Big Sky once again.
