The Seahawks beat the Cards in the first meeting of the season in Week 7 as Arizona put up just 10 points on three field goals. Seattle has dropped two in a row scoring a total of 10 points for both games.

Seattle has looked terrible in its past two match ups, losing 33-3 in Oakland and 41-7 against the Giants at home.

Rookie QB Charlie Whitehurst made his first start last week and was shelled by a top ranked Giants defense completing less than half his passes for 113 yards, one touchdown, and two interceptions.

The Seattle defense didn’t help matters, surrendering 201 yards to three New York running backs and allowing the Giants offense to maintain possession for over 42 minutes.

The running game is extinct and the receiving corps has been awful after bursting out of the gates strong.

Starting QB Matt Hasselbeck is expected to return this week, so maybe he can help the Seahawks turn its season around while improving a dreadful road record.

Standing in their way will be the Cardinals who after having the visiting Vikings on the ropes, failed to deliver the knockout punch losing 27-24 in overtime last week. The Cardinals held a 24-10 lead with under five minutes left, but the defense faded like an old pair of blue jeans.

This team has talent, but without a solid QB, they are staggering just to stay in the fight.

In this division, home field tends to be even more of an advantage, so I’m giving this one to the Red Birds.

The odds makers have the Cardinals as a -3 point favorite with an over/under of 41.5.
