Baltimore Ravens at St. Louis Rams
Talk about your ups and downs. After defeating the division-rival Pittsburgh Steelers 35-7 in their season opener, the Baltimore Ravens lost handedly to the Tennessee Titans last week 26-13. Now Baltimore will head to St. Louis to face the up and coming Rams who are trying to win their first game of the season.

The Rams came into the 2011 regular season ready to take the next step and fight for the NFC West title.
Instead of starting out hot like they needed to, they’ve lost their first two games, and should consider their week-three matchup against the Baltimore Ravens a must win. Unfortunately, the Ravens are a better team and are yearning to show that they are better that how they played in their loss to the Titans.
Meanwhile, St. Louis has been so close in their first two games to being spectacular, but instead have been mediocre. They almost came back and defeated the Giants on Monday Nigh Football last week, but instead slipped to 0-2.
Quarterback Sam Bradford clearly has the goods he needs to be successful in the NFL, having passed for over 300 yards against the Giants, but he needs to have more confidence in the rest of his offense if they are ever to move on to the next level.
Conversely , the Ravens have been the streakiest team in the entire league, and I know it’s only been two weeks, but winning your season opener against the Steelers, 35-7, then losing a week later to the Titans is as streaky as you can get.
Fortunately, they face a team that they should be able to out play even if they have an off day. Their defense should be able to rebound after allowing Titan’s quarterback Matt Hasselbeck to throw over 350 yards.
If Baltimore plays just 10 percent better than they did last week, the Rams aren’t likely to have a chance, but if Bradford somehow becomes what everyone thought he would be this season overnight, then the Ravens better look out as they could very well be behind the Steelers in the division standings come week four.
The odds makers have the Baltimore Ravens as a -4 point favorite with an over/under of 42.
Matt’s Prediction: Ravens 10, Rams 3—I just don’t think that Sam Bradford is going to show up against the Ravens if he was unable to do so against the Giants. He did throw for some yardage, but he has only gotten a touchdown pass once, which isn’t going to win games. With a spread of just four points, expect the Ravens to cover it easily.
