The fans of the Indianapolis Colts have been through a lot this summer. Every NFL fan in the country can bet that it was not easy for the Colts fans to watch their future hall of fame quarterback Peyton Manning paraded around from franchise to franchise all summer long. To add insult to injury, the Colts cleaned house and got rid of almost every player that Peyton Manning held dear on offense. By the time the summer was half over, Jeff Saturday, Joseph Adai, Pierre Garcon and Dallas Clark were all gone and new faces were being brought in.
You could hear the collective sigh when rookie quarterback Andrew Luck stepped into his first preseason game and threw a touchdown pass on his first pass attempt. The football betting sites still talk about the 64-yard touchdown reception, and the fans were all onboard the Luck train. In this preseason, Andrew Luck has shown that he is smart, tough and talented. Maybe starting over won’t be such a bad thing inIndianapolis after all.
Cincinnati Bengals
The Bengals have problems of their own this preseason. The offensive line looks shaky and the Bengals will spend time in this last preseason game trying to find a depth chart that will keep quarterback Andy Dalton healthy. If you check your bookie service, you will also see that the Bengals have been hit with significant injuries on defense. All the Bengals want to do in this game is get a good look at some depth players and then escape this game without an injury. The idea of winning or losing this game is the last thing on the Bengals’ minds.
Indianapolis Colts
The Colts and its fans were ready to write this season off as a rebuilding year. But after seeing the significant improvement on the defense and the promise of a young offense, the betonline sports fans in Indy are looking for a competitive season. In this game, the Colts want to see exactly how much depth it really has with this crew of young and eager players. The biggest needs will be at linebacker and offensive line, where the Colts have traditionally had problems keeping starters healthy in the past.
The Bottom Line
The Colts want to win this game and the Bengals just want to come out of this game without any real problems. That means that the Colts will be aggressive and the Bengals will be defensive. In the preseason, that combination usually winds up in a win for the aggressive team.
