2011 NFC West Season Preview, Predictions Picks & Odds
Welcome to the best and most complete 2011 NFC West season preview available online. The teams making up the 2011 NFC West are the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers, Seattle Seahawks, and St. Louis Rams.
Get ready for the best preview on the worst division in football: the NFC West.
Last year, the Seattle Seahawks (7-9) won the division and actually did pretty good once getting there, winning their wildcard game against the New Orleans Saints.
The San Francisco 49ers disappointed once again finishing the year 6-10 when most talking heads had them winning the division with and actual winning record.
The St. Louis Rams (7-9) made progress in their rebuilding project, and the Arizona Cardinals (5-11) were, well, the Cardinals.
Now the division is up in limbo on who will come out on top, and with Seattle’s success in the playoffs last year, it doesn’t matter how your regular season went, the playoffs are a whole new ballgame.
Now that the 2011-2011 season is approaching, here are our season NFC West team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.
2011 Arizona Cardinals Preview
The Cardinals made a huge move in the offseason when they snagged quarterback Kevin Kolb from the Philadelphia Eagles. Some may argue it was a bad move, and others the opposite; but nonetheless, it was a huge move. The price wasn’t cheap though: a second round pick and cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie, but it should help them in the long run. Kolb has something no other quarterback in the league has: Larry Fitzgerald.

2011 San Francisco 49ers Preview
Every year people jump on the 49ers’ bandwagon, most likely because they have a lot of talent up and down their roster, but until they find a replacement for Alex Smith, I’m not buying. They did draft Colin Kaepernick, but there is no way that first-year coach Jim Harbaugh is going to put a rookie on the field unless they are trying to throw the season to pick up Harbaugh’s last quarterback Andrew Luck.

2011 Seattle Seahawks Preview
Pete Carroll has done wonders with this team in just 18 months, and this offseason was no different. The team loaded up on talent, but shipped out Matt Hassellbeck and replaced him with Tavares Jackson. Jackson failed to lead the Vikings when he was there, and was replaced by Brett Favre shortly into his career as an NFL starting quarterback. If he leads this team to the playoffs, a team that is far less talented then the Viking teams he led, I’d be shocked.
