Welcome to the best and most complete 2011 NFC South season preview available online. The teams making up the 2011 NFC South are the Atlanta Falcons, Carolina Panthers, New Orleans Saints, and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The NFC South has become the hardest division in the NFL to predict a winner.
But fear not, for because SportsbookBuzz.com is here to help you out with this preview of each team and how they will fare in the 2011 season.
Last year the Atlanta Falcons came into their own and led the NFC with a 13-3 record, but the New Orleans Saints (11-5) weren’t that far behind.
The division did boast the biggest surprise team of the 2010 season, (the 10-6 Tampa Bay Buccaneers) and the worst team in the league (The 2-14 Carolina Panthers).
However, the division has been known for teams changing positions from year to year, and this season seems like it could be the same case. So read ahead to find out who will end up where and why.
Now that the 2011-2011 season is approaching, here are our season NFC South team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.
2011 Atlanta Falcons Preview
The Falcons really came into their own last season, and this season looks to be no different as the team only got better. The offense was already explosive, but nonetheless the team went out and spent a boatload on wide receiver Julio Jones in the draft. I, unlike most, think the team needed this to reach the next level. The addition of Jones will take a ton of pressure off of Roddy White, and the added weapon in the receiving game will only make the running game that much better. Look out as Michael Turner, who rushed for 1,371 yards last year, should be primed for an even bigger year.

2011 Carolina Panthers Preview
The Panthers did what everyone thought they should do when they drafted quarterback Cam Newton with their top overall pick in last April’s draft. Despite this, the Panthers are destined to sit at the cellar for at least another year, as Newton is not even close to NFL ready. Once he is though, the team will become a threat for a division crown. If they want to start Newton and they want to be successful, they need to keep Steve Smith by all means necessary.

2011 New Orleans Saints Preview
Less than two years removed from their unforgettable Super Bowl victory, the Saints are primed for another run. And run it will be. New Orleans, who is known for not having a running game to speak of, bolstered their backfield, selecting Mark Ingram of Alabama with the team’s first draft pick in 2010. Ingram is the perfect fit for the pass heavy team. A balanced Saints offensive attack could be really terrifying for opposing defenses. I can just see Drew Brees picking apart defenses through the play-action pass.

2011 Tampa Bay Buccaneers Preview
The Bucs were the biggest surprise of 2010, and they only got stronger since the conclusion of the season. Quarterback Josh Freeman was the biggest reason the team was so successful, and he will be back better than ever. The team was quiet during the free agency frenzy, but achieved what they knew was their number-one priority: resign Ronde Barber.
