2011 NFC North Season Preview, Predictions Picks & Odds

Welcome to the best and most complete 2011 NFC North season preview available online. The teams making up the 2011 NFC North are the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings.

The NFC North is a tough one to figure out going into the 2011 season, but we here at Sportbooklists.com are here to help you figure out what’s what in the most historic division in the National Football League.

Last year brought winds of change as the Bears pulled off winning NFC North with an 11-5 record with Green Bay (10-6) right on their heels. In fact, Green Bay beat the Bears to clinch a playoff spot in the final game of the season, and then again in the Conference Championship.

The backend of the division could make this one of the most competitive next year.

The Detroit Lions (6-10) are coming up and the Minnesota (6-10) has a new face in town.

Once again the NFC North could be the most difficult division to predict, so let’s take a look at how each team will look in 2011.

Now that the 2011-2011 season is approaching, here are our season NFC North team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.

2011 Chicago Bears Preview

The Bears spent all their money last year, so this offseason was quiet for Chicago. The only significant move they made was when they traded away tight end Greg Olsen to the Panthers. The team needed to add playmakers, not dispose of them. For this team to succeed, Jay Cutler is going to have to brush off all the media criticism and just play ball like everyone knows he can. If Cutler does so, the team will be fine, because they already have the league’s number-one rush defense.

2011 Detroit Lions Preview

Matthew Stafford is the piece that will make or break the Lions’ 2011 season. He has been plagued by injuries throughout his short career, but has shown that he has the tools to make it in this league. If he stays healthy, the Lions have put all the pieces around him that he needs to take the team to the next level. If he can’t do that this year, the Lions may want to rethink the centerpiece to their rebuilding process, especially is he goes down with another injury.

2011 Green Bay Packers Preview

The Super Bowl champs were another team, that was quiet in the free agency frenzy of 2011, but that doesn’t mean the team won’t come back better than ever. The Packers will return a number of key starters that were injured during their Super Bowl run. Nothing more needs to be said than the fact that they still have Aaron Rodgers: the best quarterback (arguably) in the league.

2011 Minnesota Vikings Preview

The Vikings went out and got Donovan McNabb from the Washington Redskins, trying to show their fans that they are in this to win. I applaud their deal, and it was the perfect fit for McNabb. I expect big things out of the two sides, and with Adrian Peterson getting all of the attention, McNabb should have an easy time picking apart defenses that have eight defenders in the box.
