The teams making up the 2010 NFC North are the Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, Green Bay Packers, and Minnesota Vikings. Last season the Minnesota Vikings won the NFC North with a 12-4 record. And the 11-5 Green Bay Packers earned a playoff spot. While the Chicago Bears (7-9) and the Detroit Lions (2-14) watched the playoffs from the comfort of their own homes. The Packers lost a overtime shootout to the Arizona Cardinals in the Wild-Card Weekend 45-51. The Vikings rolled over the Dallas Cowboys in the Divisional Playoff Game. The Vikings were on their way to the Super Bowl until Brett Favre’s costly interception against the New Orleans Saints in the NFC Championship game. 2010 Chicago Bears Preview
The Bears made the biggest splash in the free agent market by signing All Pro DE Julius Peppers this offseason. If he can return to the form that made him such a dominant force in Carolina, their defense could once again become the heart and soul of this team.
Chicago has certainly made some bold moves over the last two years by bringing in high profile players like Cutler and Peppers. It still remains to be seen whether or not this strategy and major financial investment will actually pay off.

2010 Detroit Lions Preview
Going from 0-16 in 2008 to 2-14 in 2009 could be considered a minor step in the right direction, but after adding QB Matthew Stafford with the first overall pick last year and DT Ndamukong Suh with the second overall pick this year, the pressure will begin to mount for second year head coach Jim Schwartz to take a much bigger step forward in 2010. Playing in the same division with Super Bowl contenders Green Bay and Minnesota will make it very hard for Detroit to make any serious headway in 2010.

2010 Green Bay Packers Preview
The finished the season playing their best ball of the year and if not for one last incredible performance by Arizona QB Kurt Warner could have very well made it all the way the Super Bowl last year. Once again the Packer’s season will come down to their ability to beat Minnesota to win the division and this time the cards appear to be in their favor.

2010 Minnesota Vikings Preview
Last season with QB Brett Favre at the helm, Minnesota came within three points of returning to the Super Bowl. With unfinished business still on the table, it appears that Favre is willing to give it one more try to get there in 2010. The Vikings remain pretty much the same team as last year so if Favre does indeed return they should be set for another deep run.
