Kansas City Chiefs vs Minnesota Vikings
Two teams losing in totally different ways, but nonetheless, still losing, will butt heads when the Minnesota Vikings travel to Arrowhead to face the Kansas City Chiefs.
The Chiefs haven’t been able to have a respectable game until last week against the San Diego Chargers, while the Vikings haven’t been able to hold on to a lead, kind of like the antonym of the Buffalo Bills.

The last time they fell that far into the winless hole was back in 2002. This year, the Vikings have been dominant through two quarters, having never failed to lead by at least 10 points.
The main reason the Vikings haven’t been able to hold on for victories, is because they have failed to give running back Adrian Peterson enough carries. They have their reasons for this, and they are smart ones.
The Vikings are not going to waste the legs of possibly the best running back in the league, in a lost season, as running backs have a short shelf life, and it would be one inch closer to mediocrity.
Meanwhile, the Chiefs are in a completely different position than the Vikings, except for the winless record and all.
Kansas City has gotten beat up this year, to say the least, and just when everyone thought that maybe they could rekindle 2010’s Cinderella flame against their division foe, the San Diego Chargers, they collapsed, as bad teams usually do.
After loosing their prized possession, running back Jamaal Charles, the Chiefs were expecting to completely give up hope, and a lot of people are predicting a winless season.
I am not one of those people.
In the NFL, when a team has the possibility of failing to win a game through an entire season, they often get what the Chiefs are getting this weekend: a break.
Both of these teams are bad, and it will be a chance for each to break through and finally get a win.
The odds makers have the Minnesota Vikings as a -1.5 point favorite with an over/under of 39.5.
Matt’s Prediction: Chiefs 24, Vikings 20 – It isn’t going to be the easiest game to watch, but the Chiefs will have the last laugh. The Vikings are not going to let what happened Charles happen with Peterson, because this season is already lost. Expect this to be a high-scoring game, because both of these defenses can’t stop either offense. Take the Chiefs, and take the over, easily.
