Like the teams in Saturday’s Florida vs Alabama betting odds, Dallas and the New York Giants have a deep-seeded hatred for each other. The two meet up at Giants Stadium on Sunday in a critical game for the Giants’ playoff chances, and they may have to do it with a limping quarterback.
Cowboys vs Giants betting – Sunday, December 6, 4:15 PM ET
The Cowboys (8-3) put up 494 yards of offense in a 24-7 carving of Oakland on Thanksgiving, with Tony room going 18-of-29 for 309 yards and two touchdowns in a very efficient performance. The Cowboys also ran for 195 yards, as Felix Jones, Tashard Choice and Marion Barber all ran for at least 61 yards. If there was a negative to this game, it’s that the Cowboys allowed the Raiders to run for 5.2 yards per carry.
The Giants (6-5) were thumped 26-6 on Thanksgiving in Denver, and it’s been announced that Eli Manning’s foot injury is bothering him, although he won’t say. Manning was 24-of-40 for 230 yards and a pick, and he also lost a fumble, accounting for two of the Giants’ three turnovers. The Giants also gave up on their running game, which comes from being down by a large margin. New York’s rushing attack was essential to their NFL betting odds, but it has been a disappointment this year.
Dallas is a 2.5-point NFL betting favorite in your online sportsbook on the road in this contest, and they’ll be out to avenge a 33-31 loss to the Giants in Week 2, which was their first game at their new stadium. The Cowboys ran for 251 yards in that game, and given that the Giants gave up 138 yards against Denver on the ground, it could be a big day for the Dallas running backs. This takes the game out of Tony Romo’s hands, as his struggles in December have been well documented. Romo’s passer rating in 13 December games is 71.9, down from 111.0 in November. If the Cowboys can control their game on the ground, they should have no problems with a reeling New York team this weekend.
NFL picks: Cowboys -2.5
