Now that the 2010-2011 season is approaching, here are our season AFC West team previews & predictions from the top NFL handicappers.
2010 Denver Broncos Preview
It is hard to really know what to expect from this team after their Jekyll and Hyde performance in 2009 but they should remain in the playoff hunt until they end, but once again fall just short of making them. This season the expectations will once again be high as they try and recreate the success from early last year. Kyle Orton will once again be the Bronco’s starting quarterback, but the addition of first round pick Tim Tebow could provide an interesting twist as his comfort level in this offense grows.

2010 Kansas City Chiefs Preview
Much like the Oakland Raiders, the Kansas City Chiefs are taking some positive steps in the right direction but they are still a couple a years away from being a serious competitive threat. If some of their young talent quickly develops they will pull off a few upsets next year, but not enough to generate a winning record. Matt Cassel will be back as the Chiefs starting quarterback, but he has yet to live up to hype he generated as a free agent after his one successful season with New England..

2010 Oakland Raiders Preview
The Raiders traded for a legitimate NFL quarterback in Jason Campbell, and pulled the plug on the JaMarcus Russell experiment that went so horribly wrong. They may have finally turned the corner on returning to the glory days of this storied franchise. While they have added some much needed pieces to the puzzle, the Raiders are still a year or two away from seriously competing for the division. At least for now they appear to be headed in the right direction.

2010 San Diego Chargers Preview
Last season the Chargers lost three of their first five games before reeling off 11 straight victories to win the division going away. San Diego may not be as dominant as they were the second half of last season but they are still far and away the best team in the West and will once again be considered a legitimate Super Bowl contender.
