The Bruins need to win two of their final three games to earn a bowl berth, so there will be a lot riding on UCLA’s trip to the Apple State.

The Huskies has been blown out in three consecutive games, but will return starting QB Jake Locker who will appear in his final home game. Can the senior, who has suffered through an extremely disappointing season, put on a show in his finale?

The Huskies are coming off a bye week, after suffering an embarrassing 53-16 defeat at Oregon on Nov. 6. Of course, they will now get a break as they try to sneak past a bipolar Bruins defense that held Oregon State to just 267 total yards in its 17-14 win, but was mauled in Arizona just one week before.

The Huskies definitely have the edge in passing, but when it comes to the running game the Bruins may have the advantage behind the efforts of sophomore tailback Johnathan Franklin who has posted three 100-plus games, including rushing for 216 yards in a win over Washington State, and 158 three TDs in the Bruins upset over Houston.

This could bode well for the Bruins, as the Huskies are allowing just shy of 220 yards rushing per game and 30 rushing TDs, worst in the PAC-10.

With the forecast calling for rain, I’m going with the underdog in this one as the Bruins get it done on the ground.
