#20 Mississippi State (-29) at Memphis – 8:00 PM ET
These two faced one another last year in the season opener with Mississippi State rolling to a 49-7 victory as a 21.5-point home favorite. The total went ‘over’ the 47-point line. Stick with the Bulldogs to once again hammer a Memphis team that won just one game last year.
Prediction: Mississippi State 42 – Memphis 10 – Bet Now
Odds: Mississippi State: -29 – Memphis: +29 – Over/Under: 50.5

Utah State @ #23 Auburn (-21.5) – 12:00 PM ET on ESPN2
Auburn is not the same team that won last season’s BSC title, but the Tigers should win this game with ease, as they try and make a statement that they are still a power in the SEC. It also helps that they are 6-2 against the spread in their last eight games against the WAC.
Prediction: Auburn 38 – Utah 13 – Bet Now
Odds: Auburn: -21.5 – Utah: +21.5 – Over/Under: 56.5

Kent State at #2 Alabama (-37) – 12:20 PM ET on ESPN3.com
The march for a BSC title begins with a romp over an opponent that is nowhere near Alabama’s weight class. This one gets ugly early as the Tide rolls.
Prediction: Alabama 62 – Kent State 6 – Bet Now
Odds: Alabama: -37 – Kent State: +37 – Over/Under: 45.5

Brigham Young (-3) at Ole Miss – 4:45 PM on ESPN
BYU decided to go the IA Independent route after leaving the MWC and has upgraded its schedule with quite a few games against teams from the major conferences. This is an excellent chance to notch its first win against a sudden have-not in the SEC.
Prediction: BYU 24 – Ole Miss 20 – Bet Now
Odds: BYU: -3 – Ole Miss: +3 – Over/Under: 55.5

Montana at Tennessee (28.5) – 6:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com
Tennessee finished last season with a 6-7 record, but it did a good job of soundly beating the teams it was supposed to. This season should be no different as the Vols pad the win column against the over-matched Grizzlies, but fail to cover the spread.
Prediction: Tennessee 35 – Montana 17 – Bet Now
Odds: Tennessee: -28.5 – Montana: +28.5

Florida Atlantic at #22 Florida (34.5) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPNU
These two teams last played each other in 2007 with Florida rolling to a 59-20 win as a 34-point home favorite. Four years later nothing has really changed as the Gators cruise to another 30+ point victory.

Odds: Florida: -34.5 – Florida Atlantic: +34.5 – Over/Under: 46.5

Missouri State at #15 Arkansas (-40) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com
Many people see Arkansas as this year’s Auburn in the SEC and they may be right as the Razorbacks remain loaded with talent on both sides of the ball. They showcase some of it here with a lopsided win in their opener.
Prediction: Arkansas 48 – Missouri State 7- Bet Now
Odds: Arkansas: -40 – Missouri State: +40

East Carolina at #12 South Carolina (-20.5) – 7:00 PM ET on ESPN3.com
These two teams use to play each other regularly in the late ‘90s with East Carolina getting the best of it on most occasions. It is the Gamecocks chance to return the favor with a big opening day win at the expense of the Pirates.
Prediction: South Carolina 38 – East Carolina 17- Bet Now
Odds: South Carolina: -20.5 – East Carolina: +20.5 – Over/Under: 62

Elon at Vanderbilt (-12.5) – 7:30 PM ET on ESPN3.com
Vanderbilt has been a perennial door mat in the SEC, but this is a game it should easily win and will. The worst team in the SEC is still much better than an average team in the IAA Southern Conference.
Prediction: Vanderbilt 24 – Elon 10 – Bet Now
Odds: Vanderbilt: -12.5 – Elon: +12.5

#5 Boise State (-3) at #19 Georgia – 8:00 PM ET on ESPN
In one of the premier matchups on the Week 1 college schedule, Georgia will try and turn things around after a disappointing 6-7 record in 2011. Unfortunately for Bulldog fans, the Broncos have bigger aspirations and more talent.
Prediction: Boise State 28 – Georgia 20- Bet Now
Odds: Boise State: -3 – Georgia: +3 – Over/Under: 50.5

#3 Oregon (-1) vs #4 LSU – 8:00 PM ET on ABC
LSU’s recent off-field trouble could not have come at a worse time as it tries to prepare for one of its toughest opponents this season. The distractions take their toll as the Tigers end up dropping a game they should have won.
Prediction: Oregon 21 – LSU 20 – Bet Now
Odds: Oregon: -1 – LSU: +1 – Over/Under: 55
