There’s a full slate of games this weekend in the PAC-10 as the conference race and bowl bids starts to heat up.

No. 1 Oregon appears to be in total control of its own destiny, playing for either a national title or the Rose Bowl. If No. 13 Stanford or No.15 Arizona comes up winners this weekend, they will face off for a crucial Week 10 bout that also carries possible Rose Bowl implications.

An unpredictable California snuck into the race with a huge win over Arizona State last weekend. They will now travel to Corvallis to take on the Oregon State Beavers in what figures to be a critical game for the bowl hopes of both teams.

Arizona State, UCLA, and Washington are pretty much out of bowl contention, while USC cannot qualify due to NCAA sanctions and Washington State….well, you have to win more than one.

There’s lots of football left, starting with some big games this week.

Here are my predictions for all of this week’s PAC-10 action and don’t forget to check back every week right here at sportsbooklists.com, as I will continue to give my free picks for all the current week’s PAC-10 contests helping you make all of your college football wagers –winners.

vs.

No. 15 Arizona (6-1, 3-1) at UCLA (3-4, 1-3), FSN, 3:30 P.M ET

UCLA are on a downward spiral and it doesn’t seem like it’s going to be getting better any time soon. Injuries, suspensions, and consecutive blowout losses have pretty much put a lid on anything for the Bruins beyond early December.

The Wildcats however are in thick of it stringing together two wins in a row by whipping the Huskies last weekend without their starting quarterback. Back up Matt Scott had a tremendous outing with a little help from the PAC-10’s best defense. The Wildcats have held opponents to less than 15 points five times this season, and has held UCLA under that same mark in the last two of its three consecutive wins in the series.

It’s hard to imagine the Bruins improving enough in just one week to overcome a better overall offense and suffocating ‘Cats defense.

Prediction: Arizona – Bet Now

Odds: Arizona: +24.5 – UCLA: -24.5 Over/Under: 61.5

vs.

California (4-3, 2-2) at Oregon State (3-3, 2-1), FCS, 3:30 P.M. ET

The million dollar question; can Cal win on the road, especially against a team that has beaten them nine out of the last 11 meetings, including a 31-14 victory last year in Berkeley.

The Beavers remain undefeated at Reser Stadium this season and will look to rebound from a disappointing 35-34 double-overtime loss at Washington in Week 7. The loss ended a two-game win streak for the Beavs who with a win this weekend are still contenders in the 2010 bowl races.

Reser is a tough place to play, and even tougher when facing a well rested, Beavers’ squad that boast the likes of running back Jaquizz Rodgers who wrecks havoc on any defense.

I expect Oregon to win this one, as Cal is just too unpredictable from week to week.

Prediction: Oregon State – Bet Now

Odds: California: +3 – Oregon State: -3 Over/Under: 53

vs.

Washington State (1-7, 0-5) at Arizona State (3-4, 1-3), 7 :00 P.M. ET

This is a must win if Arizona State wishes to keep its bowl dreams alive. The team will no doubt be happy to be back at home, a place they haven’t seen in 34 days.

ASU ended its three game road schedule with an embarrassing 50-17 loss to Cal, and will need to turn things around quickly, needing to win four of its remaining five games, staring with WSU.

In the meantime, the Cougars have been improving over the past five weeks, and will look to pounce on an ASU team that will be without its starting quarterback Stephen Threet.

With the Cougs have nothing to lose, it makes this even more dangerous for ASU.

Prediction: Arizona State – Bet Now

Odds: Washington State: +21 – Arizona State: -21 Over/Under: 57

vs.

No. 13 Stanford (6-1, 3-1) at Washington (3-4, 2-2), Versus, 7:00 P.M. ET

The tale of two quarterbacks was all set to begin as Stanford’s Andrew Luck and the Huskies’ Jake Locker squared off in this weekend’s Heisman qualifier. However, the big showdown has been somewhat spoiled with Locker’s recent injury setbacks.

Bruised and beaten, Locker said that there is no doubt he will still start Saturday’s game against Stanford. Meanwhile, Luck is on track to surpass the school record for single season TD passes at 27, currently with 19 with five games remaining.

The Cardinal defense will no doubt feast upon Locker, as they try to shake him up by getting after him early on.

While this will definitely be a quarterback duel, I just can’t see an injured Locker completing this one.

Prediction: Stanford – Bet Now

Odds: Stanford: -7.5 – Washington: +7.5 Over/Under: 63

vs.

No. 2 Oregon (7-0, 4-0) at No. 24 USC (5-2, 2-2), ABC, 8:00 P.M. ET

The No. 2 Ducks will need a perfect run if they want to keep their national title hopes alive, but they haven’t posted a victory at USC in nearly a decade. The No. 24 Trojans will attempt to seek revenge for a 47-20 loss in Eugene last year that ended their run of seven straight PAC-10 titles to the Ducks. The “Eugene Machine” appears unstoppable, rolling over opponents by an average of 55 points while racking up nearly 600 yards of offense per game. While the USC defense was impressive, holding Cal scoreless until late in the third quarter in its last outing, they haven’t faced the likes of the nation’s top rusher, LaMichael James, who is averaging 161 yards a game, and quarterback Darron Thomas who is coming off a career-high 308 yards and three touchdowns against UCLA. I am sure that the Trojans will put up a valiant effort, but the victors shall proclaim, “That Troy has fallen.”.

Prediction: Oregon – Bet Now

Odds: Oregon: -6.5 – USC: +6.5 Over/Under: 70.5
