Here’s a quick look at Week 3 in the Pac-10. All 10 teams are in action with some great games on tap. My pick for PAC-10 game of the week has to be No.8 Nebraska at Washington. Quarterback Jake Locker reignited his Heisman Trophy hopes, throwing for 289 yards and four touchdowns, three of them to Pac-10 player of the week Jermaine Kearse in the Huskies 41-20 romp over Syracuse on Saturday. Now they will face the vaunted defense of the Buckeyes who recorded seven sacks against Idaho over the weekend.

California at Nevada – 10:00 PM ET on ESPN2
Two of the NCAA’s best rushing offenses will clash in this battle. A big part of Cal’s success early on has been its defense. Now they will be tested with the Wolf Pack’s potent pistol offense led by dual-threat quarterback, Colin Kaepernick, and running back Vai Taua. Up next: at Arizona.

Washington State @ Southern Methodist – 3:30 PM ET
The Cougars shocked SMU with a come-from-behind win in overtime last year. The defense will have to slow down the SMU passing attack that has been so dangerous in the past on Saturday. If they don’t it could be a very long day.

#18 USC @ Minnesota – 3:30 PM on ESPN
Thirty years have passed since these two teams have played each other. Trojan tailback Marc Tyler, who leads the Pac-10 in rushing with 110 yards per outing, should have a big day against an inexperienced Gophers’ defense. Up next: at Washington State.
Prediction: USC – Bet Now

Arizona State @ #11 Wisconsin – 3:30 PM ET on ABC
Both the Sun Devils and the Badgers remains undefeated after two non-conference wins to start the 2010 season. The Sun Devils take a lot of pride in their defense that has held its last two opponents to an average 14.5 points and 250.5 total offensive yards per game, including just 61 from the run. But can they stop 250-pound running back John Clay? They will if they want to win. Up next: at Oregon.

Louisville @ #25 Oregon State – 5:30 PM ET
Oregon State has had some time to ponder its 30-21 defeat to then-No. 6 TCU, and will look to get star Jacquizz Rodgers back on track as they try to win their ninth straight home opener. The Beavers should be able to handle a rebuilding Louisville team fairly-easily. Up next: Boise State.

Portland State @ #5 Oregon – 6:15 PM ET
The defending PAC-10 champs has had little trouble finding the end zone this season with only Houston (122 points) having scored more points than the Ducks, whose 1,167 total yards are second to Nevada (1,184) among Football Bowl Subdivision teams. Portland State is 0-9 versus Pac-10 opponents, and 2-26 against FBS schools. Up next: at Arizona State.

#23 Houston @ UCLA – 10:30 PM ET
UCLA looked as though they may have dodged a bullet by not having to face Houston’s Case Keenum (concussion). But with the emergence of Houston’ s running game, it still could be bad news for UCLA, which has allowed an average of 268.0 yards on the ground in its two losses to rank next-to-last in the Pac-10. Moreover, who will be UCLA’s quarterback after Kevin Prince was benched in the fourth quarter versus Stanford. Up next: at Texas.
Prediction: Houston – Bet Now
Odds: Houston: -3 – UCLA: +3 – Over/Under: 60

#9 Iowa @ #24 Arizona – 10:30 PM ET on ESPN
Arizona’ s Nick Foles and his offensive cast versus Iowa’s stout defense. While the Hawkeyes’ defense gets more attention, the Wildcats haven’t allowed a touchdown through two weeks, while tailback Nic Grigsby has five touchdowns in that same span. Up next: California.
Prediction: Arizona – Bet Now
Odds: Iowa: -1.5 – Arizona: +1.5 – Over/Under: 42.5

Wake Forest @ #19 Stanford – 11:15 PM ET on ESPN2
Stanford fell asleep in the second half and lost 24-17 last season, but this year’s team looks as if it is ready to make a statement in the Pac 10, improving to 2-0 with a dominating 35-0 in over the Bruins last weekend. Up next: at Notre Dame.
Prediction: Stanford – Bet Now
Odds: Wake Forest: +17 – Stanford: -17 – Over/Under: 59.5
