Sooners Anxious to Forget Loss on College Football Odds Board

A pair of top-10 teams will meet over Kansas State soil when the No. 9-ranked Sooners roll into town looking to bump themselves back up the Big 12 standings after falling for the first time this season in Week 7.

The hometown Wildcats – No. 8 in the BCS rankings – are one of just two undefeated teams remaining in the conference. Both clubs currently factor into the college football odds board, but are they headed in opposite directions?

Given that the only other unbeaten club in the conference is No. 3 Oklahoma State, more time in the national spotlight is well within reach for the Kansas State program if they can hang on to the success they’ve enjoyed through the first two months of the season.

Can dual threat quarterback Collin Klein continue to impress with his ability to put points on the board from either the air or ground? Through Week 8, Klein has thrown eight touchdowns and, more impressively, run for 14 more.

On the other side of the field, fresh off a narrow 41-38 loss to Texas Tech their last time out, the Sooners will be hungry to prove that the setback was nothing but a minor one. They’ll turn to quarterback Landry Jones to lead the charge. With 21 touchdowns and over 2,500 yards so far, few are better for the job.
