NCAA Football Betting – Badgers, Wolverines Could Stage Big Ten Shootout

NCAA football betting players have watched Wisconsin put up 83 points this season, while Michigan has dropped 67 on a team at one point. There could be a very high posted total when the Big Ten teams meet in Ann Arbor at the “Big House” on Saturday afternoon.

Wisconsin Michigan Betting – Saturday, 12:00 PM ET

The No.7 Badgers (9-1, 5-1) put the wood to Indiana at home last week, routing them 83-20 at home, racking up 598 yards of offense, including 338 yards on the ground, and that was without starter John Clay. Scott Tolzien was 15-of-18 for 181 yards and three scores, while Montee Ball ran for 167 yards and three more scores, with James White chipping in 144 yards and a pair of touchdowns for the Badgers. Wisconsin also forced three turnovers, running a pick back for a touchdown, and there wasn’t really much the Hoosiers could do. If you’re a backup on Wisconsin, you’re still going to give your all, no matter what the score is, because you’re probably playing for a job next year. Everything just came together for the Badgers last week, and the Hoosiers just happened to be in the way.

The Wolverines (7-3, 3-3) overcame five turnovers, including four by Denard Robinson, in a 27-16 win at Purdue, and a better team would have penalized Michigan. Robinson was 13-of-21 for 176 yards, a touchdown and two picks, while running 22 times for 68 yards, but he also had two of the Wovlerines’ three fumbles. But Michigan forced five turnovers of their own in the sloppiest game we’ve seen this year, and even though it was against a Purdue that really isn’t any good, this was Michigan’s best defensive performance since the first two games of the season.

Your pay per head sportsbook has the Badgers as a 4-point favorite at Michigan, where they have lost five straight games since 1998. Clay is still limited because of a knee injury, but Ball and White ran wild on Indiana, and Michigan has the 100th-ranked defense in the country. Also, Robinson has taken a beating this year with numerous injuries and it may be taking its toll, and that’s not a good thing against a defense like Wisconsin which is ranked 21st in the country.  Wisconsin is also in a three-way tie with Michigan State and Ohio State atop the Big Ten standings, and they know that winning their last two games are a big step towards reaching Pasadena, which means the Rose Bowl. Michigan’s goal of reaching a bowl is complete, and they may be looking ahead to next week’s massive showdown at Ohio State.
