Lots of great games in the Big 12 this week, with both the North and South titles still far from decided. ABC showcases a pair of games, leading with No. 16 Oklahoma returning to Norman to take on Texas Tech following the Sooners’ surprising loss at Texas A&M last week. The nightcap game on ABC has No. 10 Oklahoma State at Texas, and the Cowboys appear to be most consistent team in Big 12 right now. Which we all know means nothing! Seeing how this league shakes out is going to be great drama.

#10 Oklahoma State @ Kansas – 12:00 PM ET
Don’t look now, but the Jayhawks have been getting better over the last month. And their best games have come in Lawrence. The problem they face this weekend is the Cowboys have more to play for this year (Big 12 South title, Big 12 title game, BCS) than they’ve had to play for in 50 years and have NFL talent all over the field.

Kansas State @ Colorado – 2:10 PM ET
An interesting game on a lot of different levels. For K-State, a possible trip to the Holiday Bowl and a surprise 8-win season are the carrots at the end of the stick. For the Buffs, there was a surprise win at Iowa State last week in the first game after coach Dan Hawkins was fired. Expect KSU to go with QB Collin Klein the whole game and win it on the ground.

We’ve said this before and we’ll say it again: Baylor’s home advantage is nil, and you can expect as many Sooner fans in Waco as Baylor fans. If Baylor QB Robert Griffin can play the game of his life, the Bears can keep it close.

One month ago, this game looked like a stinker. Oh, how things have changed. Mike Sherman’s QB switch has him looking like a genius and College Station will absolutely be off the hook for this one. Here’s what it comes down to on the field: If Ryan Tannahill can outplay a banged-up Taylor Martinez, then Gig ‘Em.
