2009-2010 Wofford Season Preview
Mike Young’s eighth edition of the Wofford Terriers could be his strongest as he returns his starting five, plus four role players from the program’s first winning season as a Division I member. Noah Dahlman returns to the middle, where he led the team in scoring while shooting a league-best 60.1 percent from the floor. Junior Salters and Corey Gadzinski comprise a nice 1-2 punch as a 3-point shooting duo; Salters shot 38.6 percent from behind the arc last season. Tim Johnson tied for league honors with 8.7 boards per night while averaging double figures in points. Brad Loesing and Jason Dawson will give Young a strong backcourt nucleus as both are efficient playmakers. Opponents shot around 47 percent from the floor a year ago and if that statistic falls, Wofford could be in the hunt for a Southern Conference title.
