2010-2011 Valparaiso Season Preview

Valpo is going the way of so many other Horizon League teams – relying on transfers and while last year’s team fell short of expectations, two of the team’s best players started elsewhere first. Brandon Wood came from Southern Illinois and Cory Johnson from Iowa State. Two big men transferred out – Milos Milosevic and Chris Halvorsen – due to lack of playing time, but the Crusaders grabbed 6-8 Kevin Van Wijk of the Netherlands in mid-summer to fill a big-man hole. Four starters return, and the Crusaders go deep.
