2010-2011 The Citadel Season Preview
Coach Ed Conroy parlayed success at The Citadel into the same position at Tulane, so the Bulldogs hired Chuck Driesell, son of legendary coach “Lefty” Driesell, to guide the program. Five principle starters return, four of which are seniors. The Citadel will be led again by the team’s leading scorer of a year ago, Cameron Wells. The 6-1 senior was third in the SoCon in scoring and took nearly 30 percent of the team’s field-goal attempts. Zach Urbanus is a strong complement. He led the team with a 41.1 percent mark from behind the arc. The Bulldogs displayed a disciplined approach last season in Conroy’s scheme. It will be interesting to see what changes under the new staff.
