The Tigers edged out the Longhorns 69-65 in the closing seconds of their previous meeting on Feb 4, 2009, with their first win at Texas since 1999.
After dropping four of their last seven, the Longhorns had five players score in double figures as they routed last-place Nebraska 91-51 on Saturday. Freshman guard Avery Bradley scored 25 points while J’Covan Brown had 12 points and six assists. Gary Johnson and Damion James each scored 13 points and Jordan Hamilton contributed 16 points in the win. Texas shot 61 percent in the first half against the Big 12’s stingiest defense, draining a season-high 11 3-pointers while holding the Huskers to a deplorable 28 percent from the field, and outrebounding them 49-27. Texas — one of the worst free throw shooting teams in the country, went 22 of 30 from the stripe.
In the meantime, the Tigers are 3-3 in their last six and are coming off a disappointing loss to No. 24 Baylor on Saturday. The Bears scored the wining bucket with 1.3 seconds remaining to edge out Mizzou 64-62. Senior guard Zaire Taylor netted a team-high 15 points, while Kim English and Justin Safford both contributed 13 points in the loss. English remains the team’s leading scorer with an average of 14.8 ppg. Marcus Denmon follows with 10.8 ppg and remains the team’s long-range scorer, shooting a 44.1 percent from beyond the arc. Six-foot-eight forward Laurence Bowers adds 10.7 ppg and a team-high 6.0 rpg to the mix.
The odd makers have Missouri as –2 ½ -point favorites and a game total of 154 in this one.

Texas rose to No. 1 for two weeks back in January before starting a slide that knocked them out of the Big 12 title chase. They currently find themselves tied with the Tigers for fifth in the Big 12. They will need a strong performance if they want to beat Missouri who has an impressive 14-1 at home record.
I expect a 3-point win of for the Tigers in this one and the UNDER.
