Texas Tech has not had good luck in Stillwater and has lost 11 of its last 12 road games against Oklahoma State, going 0-2 overall against the Cowboys last season, and trailing in the all-time series 34-13.

This time the Red Raiders will look to end a six-game road-losing streak to the Cowboys by extending their current win streak to three. John Roberson scored a team-high 18 points and dished out five assists for his team in an 86-78 win over UTEP on Sunday. Junior forward Mike Singletary–Tech’s leading scorer (15.8 ppg), added 16 points and nine rebounds while D’walyn Roberts had 15 points and 13 rebounds. UTEP committed 26 fouls that lead to 46 chances from the line for the Red Raiders, who went 35-of-46.

Over in the Stillwater, the Cowboys managed a 79-61 win over Coppin State on Tuesday night, despite being without 6-foot-7 forward Marshall Moses who missed the contest serving a one-game suspension following an arrest on a marijuana possession charge earlier that day. Junior guard James Anderson scored 26 points while Keiton Page added 20 in the win. Anderson is the Cowboys’ leading scorer, averaging 21.5 points while adding 5.9 rebounds and 1.4 steals. He along with Moses who is averaging 11.2 points and 10.2 rebounds per game, will be key components in Saturday nights match up against Tech. Anderson recorded 24 points in Oklahoma State’s 92-82 win at Texas Tech on Feb. 18 of last year.

The odds makers have the Red Raiders as +8-point underdogs in this one.

Oklahoma State will need to stay out of foul trouble as it relies on little depth in its minimal rotation. Texas Tech will surely be tested against a Big 12 opponent stocked with talent. Although they played a fairly stout non-conference schedule, the Red Raiders also played to five weaker opponents from the Southland Conference. Their toughest challenges resulted in losses at Wichita State and New Mexico.

Expect the Cowboys to continue their streak against Texas Tech winning this one in dramatic fashion.
