2010-2011 Tennessee Tech Season Preview

Keyed by Kevin Murphy, Tennessee Tech made a surprising run in the Ohio Valley Tournament. The Eagles beat Austin Peay, only to fall to Morehead State in the semifinals. It was Tech’s first appearance in the semifinals since 2007. Murphy is back and was the team’s leading scorer with 15.3 points per game last season. While he was good from outside, coach Mike Sutton will miss guard Frank Davis, who was one of the top 3-point shooters in the country at nearly 45 percent in 2009-10. Sutton picked up Centenary transfer Matt Marseille and went to Germany to find freshman forward Dennis Ogbe. Both should contribute immediately.
