2009-2010 Tennessee State Season Preview
Tennessee State starts over with new coach John Cooper, who has previous stops as an assistant at Auburn, Oregon and South Carolina. This will be Coopers first job as a head coach, and he has to replace leading scorer Gerald Robinson Jr., and guard Parker Smith, who was an exciting presence coming off the bench. In all, Cooper has only five players returning and is counting on some immediate help from the eight high school and junior college players he signed. Among the two returning seniors, Jeremiah Crutcher, a Nashville prep standout, is the one Cooper expects some leadership from.
