2009-2010 St. Mary’s Season Preview
Patty Mills broke some hearts in Moraga when he kept his name in the NBA Draft, but the Australian pipeline is still alive and well – though it’s unlikely to produce another 28 wins. It will be interesting to see how Omar Sam han operates in the middle without Olamon Simpson to do much of the dirty work, but he’ll be the focus of the offense nonetheless. Mickey McConnell, who took over the point when Mills broke his hand in midseason, will profit from those minutes, and the Gaels will need more production from the holdover Aussies, Ben Allen and Clint Steindl.
