2010-2011 Siena Season Preview

In one offseason, Siena lost its coach (Fran McCaffery to Iowa), its third all-time leading scorer (Edwin Ubiles), the national assists leader (Ronald Moore) and the league Player of the Year (Alex Franklin). Remarkably, the Saints still have every chance to be more than competitive in new coach Mitch Buonaguro’s first season. Senior big man Ryan Rossiter is a potential Player of the Year, and shooting guard Clarence Jackson should be among the league’s scoring leaders. This won’t be the dominating Siena team that won three consecutive titles, but if the Saints can find a consistent point guard, they may not fall as far as some might think.
