2009-2010 Santa Clara Season Preview
It wasn’t so surprising that four players left the program after Kerry Keating’s first year – transition attrition is a fact of life in college basketball. But three of his own recruits bailed after year two, including freshman guard James Rahon, who went public with his disenchantment. Keating’s approach has drawn mixed reviews and replacing WCC Player of the Year John Bryant will be daunting, but he is assembling some talent and should be able to pick up the tempo. Kevin Foster was the WCe’s best freshman and will be even better if Troy Alexander can handle the point.
