Ohio Players to Watch: Reggie Keely was the team’s leading shot-blocker last season with 26 and will only rack up a few more as a sophomore.

Ohio Key Losses: Armon Bassett, G, 6-2, 180 (17.1 ppg, 3.5 apg); Kenneth van Kempen, C, 6-10, 249 (6.8 ppg, 6.7 rpg)

2010-2011 Ohio Season Preview

The first instinct is to downgrade the Bobcats after the loss of Armon Bassett, who turned into Mr. March during the team’s giddy postseason run. But returnees D.J. Cooper, DeVaughn Washington and Tommy Freeman could play with the Joker and the Riddler in the starting lineup and Ohio could still win 20 games. Cooper is the league’s top point guard. Washington can play any position along the baseline and Freeman shot 46.7 percent from behind the 3-point arc. Toss in Reggie Keely, the team’s leading shot-blocker, and Steven Coleman, who missed most of last season with a broken hand, and the Bobcats won’t be able to sneak up on teams as they did late last season.
