2010-2011 Northern Illinois Season Preview

It’s getting hot and heavy around DeKalb for Ricardo Patton. Around springtime, Northern Illinois was believed to be one of the teams to beat with five starters back. Then Jake Anderson didn’t have his scholarship renewed and Mike DiNunno and Michael Fakuade soon followed him out of the program. Anderson’s departure was especially puzzling considering the versatile performer is the only player in the program’s history with 1,000 points, 400 rebounds, 200 assists and 100 steals. Patton has Xavier Silas, one of the premier scorers in the league, but little else and another 10-win season could be Patton’s last.
