2009-2010 Northeastern Season Preview
Bill Coen has made his presence felt quickly, leading the Huskies to a third-place finish in the league before Northeastern received a College Basketball Invitational bid and won at Wyoming before losing to runner-up UTEP. Coen returns a major presence in Matt Janning, Northeastern’s leading scorer and first-team ALL-CAA performer. Janning also finished in the league’s Top 10 in scoring, field-goal percentage, steals and minutes played. He will be flanked by point guard Chaisson Allen, who led Northeastern in assists, steals and rebounds. Manny Adako and Nkem Ojougboh are versatile post players with immense experience. Adako shot 56.7 percent from the field a year ago, second in the CAA.

2009-2010 Northeastern Predictions
The other option would be to put the more experienced Bataille in the starting lineup and move Janning to the wing. Not only would that give the team two ballhandlers on the floor, but it puts the team’s five most experienced players in the starting lineup. But no matter who starts, this Northeastern team looks a lot like they did last year and that means the entire team could be tired by the end of the season. While the starting five might be the best in the league, Northeastern will have to rely on unproven newcomers to fill in the gaps.
