North Texas Players to Watch: Dominique Johnson, who went down in the fourth game last year, was a double-digit scorer in 2008-09.

North Texas Key Losses: Eric Tramiel, F, 6-7, 230 (12.9 ppg, 6.0 rpg)

2010-2011 North Texas Season Preview

A fifth consecutive 20-win season looks like a lock with the return of the senior duo of SBC third-team guards Josh White and Tristan Thompson and second team forward George Odufuwa (league-leading 12 double-doubles). But a return trip to the NCAAs is certainly not, given that the league will be much stronger this year with so many experienced teams. North Texas gets back Dominique Johnson (knee) and Kedrick Hogans (shoulder) for redshirt senior seasons. Guard Shannon Shorter, yet another senior, is perhaps the conference’s top perimeter defender. Houston native Alonzo Edwards, who started his career at Nebraska, is expected to replace departed senior and first-team forward Eric Tramiel (Sun Belt Tournament MVP).
