2009-2010 New Orleans Season Preview
A second narrow defeat to South Alabama in the conference tournament in as many seasons capped an injury-riddled 11-19 season in which the Privateers were winless in conference road games. New Orleans enters this year without 70 percent of its scoring, which came via star seniors Kyndall Dykes (third-team), T.J. Worley and wouLdbe senior Darrian McKinstry (team-high average for assists, steals). McKinstry was dismissed in May after being suspended three times during last season. Jacolby Pittman, New Orleans’ lone three-star recruit the past five years, and June signee Devin McDonald (originally slated for Colorado State) could be the team’s best players by February.
