7. BUTLER (26-8, 16-13-1 ATS) The Bulldogs are going to see long odds in the Horizon League, but they have the horses . to become more profitable than last season.

8. DUKE (30-7, 17-18-1 ATS) Public bettors are fading the Blue Devils, and that’s exactly why they’ll improve for sharps on the college hoops money list.

9. MISSISSIPPI STATE (23-13, 18-11-1 ATS) The Bulldogs are the class of the SEC West, and it’ll allow them to remain the best play in the conference this season.

12. MICHIGAN (21-14. 16-12-1 ATS) The Manny Harris-DeShawn Sims combination makes the Jim Beilein-led Wolverines the most promising wager in the Big Ten.

13. PURDUE (27-10, 15-18 ATS) Tough defense and Robbie Hummel’s health allow the experienced and talented Boilermakers to live up to expectations this year.

14. KENTUCKY (22-14, 15-15-1 ATS) A legitimate candidate to cut down the nets in Indianapolis, the Wildcats should be among the best bets in the SEC despite the hype.

15. TEXAS (23-12, 13-18-1 ATS) We can’t give too much credit to the Longhorns because of their struggles for backers last season. Texas will make money nonetheless.

16. OHIO STATE (22-11, 17-12 ATS) David Lighty is healthy and Evan Turner turned town the chance to turn pro. Things are looking up for the Buckeyes.

17. XAVIER (27-8, 19-12-2 ATS) The Musketeers will take a backseat to Dayton in the Atiantic-10, but they’ll remain a much more dependable bet in conference play.

18. MARYLAND (21-14. 16-11-2 ATS) The Terrapins have quietly been one of the best college basketball programs this decade. Don’t sleep on them when placing the way. your wagers.

19. FLORIDA STATE (25-10, 18-10-1 ATS) Football school? Not with the Seminoles providing great returns for bettors. Look for the good times to keep rolling at Florida State.

20. TENNESSEE (21-13, 14-17-1 ATS) Last year’s trip into the red was a blip for the Volunteers. With no key losses and a tough schedule on tap, Tennessee is going to bounce back.

23. GEORGIA TECH (12-19, 11-16 ATS) Worst to first in the ACC? If the Yellow Jackets don’t pull it off, they’ll come close. On the way, Georgia Tech will make some good coin for backers.

24. TEXAS A&M (24-10, 16-10 ATS) Make sure to watch the Aggies run the floor and all the way to the bank for bettors that handicap Mark Turgeon’s squad.

25. UCLA (26-9, 16-17-1 ATS) The Bruins might not start the season raking in cash, but expect Ben Howland to have his charges up to the task by season’s end.
