2009-2010 Morehead State Season Preview
It was quite a season for Morehead State and coach Donnie Tyndall. The Eagles advanced to the NCAA Tournament where they beat Alabama State (in a play-in game) to notch the Ohio Valley Conference’s first NCAA Tournament win since 1989. For Tyndall, a Morehead State alum, the tourney berth came in just his third season at the helm. Back for more is junior post Kenneth Faried, the league’s returning Defensive Player of the Year, who averaged 13.5 points and 13 rebounds a game a year ago. Faried was consistent as well, notching double figures in points and rebounds in 25 games. Maze Stallworth, who averaged 12.1 points and 4.1 rebounds, returns as well.
