2009-2010 Loyola Chicago Season Preview

Two consecutive losing seasons are not what the Ramblers are used to under coach Jim Whitesell, whose team was still one of only six to beat Butler last season … on the road at that. The Ramblers lose three starters, but bring in five new players, including three guards. It’s going to be a young team that will have to rely on some of the newcomers to have any hope of making a serious run. The issues start with simply putting points on the board as no player on the roster has averaged more than Andy Polka’s 7.5 last season. That might make Charles Winborne the perfect addition, as the Louisiana product is expected to score from day one.
