2009-2010 Georgia State Season Preview
Shooting and rebounding woes doomed the Panthers last season as Georgia State shot above 50 percent only four times and was out-rebounded by 1.1 per game. Coach Rod Barnes returns his two leading scorers in backcourt mates Joe Dukes and Trae Goldston. Dukes showed up across the stat sheet Last season, as he dished 134 assists and was the team’s thirdleading rebounder. Georgia State needs seniors Xavier Hansbro and Trey Hampton to provide post production. Both players followed Barnes to Georgia State as transfers from Mississippi. Dante Curry’s athleticism should provide Barnes with another option, as he averaged more than 19 minutes in 21 games.
