2009-2010 Fairfield Season Preview
That the Stags managed to finish 9-9 in the league in 2008-09 may give reason for optimism about the future. Fairfield lost its point guard for the season because of disciplinary measures and saw two key contributors go down for the year with injuries. The good news is that outside of Herbie Allen, who stepped in as point guard for the suspended Jonathan Han, the Stags bring back their core, including third-team All-MAAC selection Greg Nero. If they stay healthy, the Stags can climb into the top half of the league by doing what they do best – getting on the glass and staying tough on defense.
