2009-2010 Eastern Kentucky Season Preview
With Mike Rose gone, Eastern Kentucky needs to figure out what’s next. Rose was an allconference honoree for three consecutive seasons and led the Colonels in points, rebounds, assists and steals last year. Rose is now playing professional basketball, so coach Jeff Neubauer looks to returning starters Justin Stommes, a lanky 6-7 guard, to become more of a scoring threat. Josh Taylor, solid at 6-7, 220 pounds, returns inside. Sophomore guard Joshua Jones also brings an outside shooting touch to the team. Regardless of who is back, Eastern Kentucky was one of the better 3-point shooting teams in the country last season and should be again this year.
