Duke is looking to finish their final week of the regular season with yet another Atlantic Coast Conference regular season conference title. And in advance of Saturday’s super showdown with North Carolina, a game that will see an even amount of sportsbook betting on both teams, the Blue Devils look to avoid the upset-minded Clemson Tigers.

Clemson is in the thick of the chase for one of the at-large bids likely to go to the ACC for the NCAA Tournament later this month. Currently the Tigers sit in fifth place in conference play, but they know that some ‘bracketologists’ have only projected four teams into the ‘Big Dance’ from the ACC this season.
One reason for the lack of one-sided selections in sportsbook betting in favor of the Blue Devils has been the consistent play of Clemson all season long. But with an RPI in the high 60’s, they must win this game or probably two in the ACC Tournament next week in Greensboro in order to secure a spot in March Madness.
Senior guard Demontez Stitt leads the Tigers in scoring. The Matthews, North Carolina native is averaging 14.1 points per game and 3.2 assists. Stitt is also stroking the three-point shot at a 37.9 percent clip. Also contributing to the Tigers offensively is big man Jerai Grant. Also a senior, Grant is pouring in 12.4 PPG and shooting 59.3 percent from the field. Grant has scored in double figures in each of the Tigers last 15 wins this season.
Duke counters with the All-American candidate Nolan Smith. The senior guard from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, is a major reason why Duke is dominating the sportsbook betting for this game. Smith will be playing his last home game at Cameron Indoor Stadium on Wednesday. He leads the Blue Devils with 21.3 points per outing, which also leads the ACC. Fellow senior Kyle Sigler is second on the club in scoring at 17.4 points per game, while hitting three-point shots at 45.2 percent efficiency.
The odds makers have the Duke Blue Devils as a -14 point favorite with an over/under of 134.
While there seems to be more impetuous for Clemson to win, the smart sportsbook betting will be on Duke to get the job done at home.
