Chattanooga Players to Watch: Omar Wattad, who sat out last season as a transfer from Georgetown, is a wing player comfortable at shooting guard or swing.

Chattanooga Key Losses: Ty Patterson, G, 6-6, 182 (14.7 ppg, 4.7 rpg)

2010-2011 Chattanooga Season Preview

The Moccasins finished at a less-than-expected three games below .500 last season as they had problems on the defensive end of the floor, especially against the three-ball. Coach John Shulman lost leading-scorer Ty Patterson, but he should have enough quality returnees and incoming talent to make a run in the SoCon North. Newcomers B.J. Frazier and Philip Jurick prepped at Chattanooga State Community College last season after leaving Western Kentucky and Tennessee, respectively. Both should be able to come in and assert themselves in Shulman’s lineup. DeAntre Jefferson could be moving forward as he shot 57.4 percent from the floor in 17.9 minutes per game and started three times.
