Cal Poly Players to Watch: Hanson was one of the conference’s most improved players as a sophomore and could be an All-Big West choice as a junior.

2010-2011 Cal Poly Season Preview
The Mustangs won just five more games last season than the year before. But, based upon the quality of play from a team that was picked to finish ninth in a nine-school conference, it is obvious the program is in secure hands under Joe Callero. The loss of leading scorer Lorenzo Keeler will be more than offset by the return of every other key player, plus the return of the program’s best post player (Will Donahue, who became academically ineligible after five double-doubles during the first 10 games last season). This will be a much deeper team, especially in the backcourt where newcomers – most notably former JC standout Amaurys Fermin – will have an immediate impact.
