The Falcons surprised many by tying for the best overall record in the league and earning an NIT berth last season, but three starters – all of whom averaged double figures – are gone. Guard Joe Jakubowski is an underrated versatile threat, while Otis Polk could be very good if he improves his stamina. Both are going to be vital if the Falcons are intent on going to the postseason again. Now we will find out what kind of recruiter Louis Orr is – he didn’t have much of a rep in that department at Siena or Seton Hall – as he added four players who could play immediately.
