With many NCAA Tournament projections calling for six teams at the most to be selected for the tournament, this game will help improve the winner’s standing for next week’s Big 12 Conference tournament in Kansas City.
The Cowboys are trying to right the ship after a late-season four-game losing streak this past weekend. Oklahoma State needed every ounce of energy to knock off upset-minded Texas Tech, and is looking to improve upon their positioning in the conference standings. They enter play on Tuesday in ninth place in league standings with two games remaining.
Meanwhile, the Bears are tied with Colorado for sixth place in the Big 12 standings, and they also have two games left on their schedule as well. Baylor is also trying to turn around things from a late-season slump, which had seen them drop three of four before knocking off Texas A&M on Saturday.

The two clubs played on January 22 in Waco and the Bears won 76-57. Baylor was solid at both ends of the floor in the victory, shooting 60 percent from the floor and holding the Cowboys to just 39.2 percent on field goals, including allowing Oklahoma state to shoot a paltry 4-for-19 from three-point range.
Baylor has three players that account for an average of 46.7 of their 70.5 point per game average. LaceDarius Dunn (20.2 PPG), Perry Jones (14.2 PPG), and Quincy Acy (12.3 PPG) combine to account for 66.2 percent of the Bears offense. Dunn is third in three-point field goal percentage on the club at 37.8 percent but has made 84 three-pointers on the season.
Oklahoma State relies on their own three-headed scoring machine. Marshall Moses (14.6 PPG), Keiton Page (13.3 PPG), and J.P. Olukemi (11.5 PPG) combine to account for 57 percent of the Cowboys offense.
The odds makers have the Oklahoma State Cowboys as a -2 point favorite with an over/under of 133.
Matt’s Free Prediction: Baylor -This should be a much more competitive game than the first meeting, but I still lean towards Baylor to win on the road.
