Billy Taylor’s second team at Ball State made some strides, but he has to retool the program after losing three starters. It’s nice to have a building block like Jarrod Jones, who by the end of last season had MAC observers wondering how the Big Ten Let him slip away. Only a sophomore, the smooth big man is the league’s best NBA prospect, but he’s going to need some help. Aslew of key reserves and newcomers are going to have to step up quickly or the Cardinals could slide into the back of the pack in the West.
