2010-2011 Arkansas Little Rock Season Preview

It should be easy for the Trojans to put aside an abysmal, injury-plagued 2009-10 campaign that featured a month stretch of zero wins over Division I opponents. UALR returns the entire starting lineup from its last game. Moreover, all are upperclassmen – including senior star guards Solomon Bozeman and ALex Garcia-Mendoza. Even with the summer defection of four guards (two of whom were spot starters) and the blending in of seven newcomers, this outfit should provide the toughness and leadership that has defined Steve Shields’ best teams. Fourth place in the West, behind stacked squads Arkansas State, Denver and North Texas, would be a realistic finish.
