2010-2011 Akron Season Preview

Last season was a mild disappointment because another NCAA Tournament bid was expected, and the Zips were the MAC’s deepest team. That will be the case once again as they return six of their top nine scorers. Guard Steve McNees, the No.1 scoring option, is back, but Akron will miss point guard Anthony IIHumpty” Hitchens, who transferred to James Madison. Don’t be surprised to see Brett McKnight in the starting lineup, although he’s so effective off the bench, why mess up a good thing?
